How to Be Awesome: 6 Misguiding Tips

Do you want to have masses of subscribers that love you? Do you want people to watch, like, favorite, and comment on all of your YouTube videos? The best way is to simply be awesome. Here are 6 easy tips that’ll ensure you’ll be just that:

Be spontaneous. It’s best not to know what you’re going to talk about before you press the record button on your camera. No need to prepare a structure, and don’t ever write a script. It only serves to kill your creativity. This tip ensures that you stutter your way through your video and go off on a tangent at every turn. This will make you seem natural, like you’re having a conversation with a friend. You sound real! Your audience will feel a deep connection with you, and they will be your loyal subscribers forever.

Look natural, look cool. Have you popped a huge pimple in the middle of your forehead and blood is dripping down your nose? Great! Don’t wash your face or comb your hair. Leave on your old ragged pyjamas with holes in the armpits. Show your audience you’re not afraid to look natural. You look cool! People will see you’re authentic, and you will have gained their trust.

Be fast and furious. People are busy. When someone clicks on your video, you have a few seconds to grab their attention before they move unto another one. Be sure to deliver as much information as posible right away. No pauses. Your video is not a book, so forget about those outdated commas and full stops. Blast your viewers with information and move those lips at the speed of light. Your audience will feel that you value their time and they will share your valuable videos with all their friends on Facebook and Tweeter.

Don’t be artsy fartsy. Your viewers like to see “regular” people on the internet. They feel identified. You don’t want your viewers to mistake you for a professional videographer, or even think that you give a crap about your image quality, so don’t bother if your camera lens is out of focus and you look like a big messy blob of color. Your viewers will only love you more for it.

Be proud. Don’t ever accept corrections. Some viewers may spot a mistake in your video and will kindly point it out to you. Don’t be foolish! Don’t ever make any corrections, or accept the fact that you made a mistake. it just shows your viewers that you’re weak minded and stupid. Be strong and wise, don’t accept it!

Be important. You’re proud. But you’re also important. Some viewers may leave you a message, asking a question or praising you for your awesome videos. Don’t ever respond! Even if you receive very little messages. People will think that you receive tons of mail and they will percieve you as important. They’ll be grateful you even allow them to watch your videos for free.

For those crazy people out there, I just want to clarify that these aren’t actually tips I’d recommend you try. It’s just meant to be a fun read, enumerating things you probably shouldn’t be doing. But then again, what should I know?
