HelloComics Origins
Why the name?
Sam is narcoleptic. The strong medication he takes to fight his illness has created an unbelievable creature only he can see: NANO.
That was the description for a comic I started in 2007. I uploaded it to Drunk Duck, a good free comic hosting website with a nice community. I wanted to title my comic NANO, but the name was already taken. I settled for Hello NANO. Later, I wanted to have my own website. I wanted the simplest name possible, so I tried comics.com. Of course, this option was already taken. Again, I settled for hellocomics.com. As I’ve already had the domain name purchased, I kept the name for this website and used HelloComics as my YouTube identity.
YouTube beginnings
I didn’t have a script for my comic and I wrote the story as I went. After almost two years of updating it, I felt the story met a dead end. I left the comic on hold. At that time I discovered YouTube and found myself searching for videos about classic video games, which were always my passion. As I watched more videos, I realized that the drive I had for drawing comics was replaced by a desire to make videos. I then got the equipment necessary and, after some tests, I finished my first video and uploaded it to my YouTube channel.
Setting up the website
I’ve been playing around with WordPress themes for the past months and I’m finally happy with the current design. I figured that having a website only to include links to my YouTube channel is useless, so I hope to add value with this blog, so you can get to know me a little better.

Hello.
This is the first message for my first blog. I'm just checking out the comments system. Thanks for reading!
